The incident happened in the wee hours today when a CISF team spotted the woman exhibiting suspicious behaviour when she arrived at the airport terminal.
The 34-year-old woman, identified as Mandhla Makulu Rostar and holding a passport of Zimbabwe, was about to board a flight to Dubai when she was intercepted.
"Rostar was chosen for a detailed inspection by security officials of the force and when her baggage was scanned, two packets containing about 12 kilograms of narcotics was found," a senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer said.
"The estimated value of the seized drug is Rs 12 lakh," they said.
