Zimbabwean woman held with Rs 12 lakh drugs at IGIA

A Zimbabwean woman was today held at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here for allegedly trying to smuggling out Rs 12 lakh worth of narcotic drugs.
The incident happened in the wee hours today when a CISF team spotted the woman exhibiting suspicious behaviour when she arrived at the airport terminal.
The 34-year-old woman, identified as Mandhla Makulu Rostar and holding a passport of Zimbabwe, was about to board a flight to Dubai when she was intercepted.
"Rostar was chosen for a detailed inspection by security officials of the force and when her baggage was scanned, two packets containing about 12 kilograms of narcotics was found," a senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer said.

The security team later alerted anti-narcotics sleuths who identified the drug as 'pseudoephedrine' and they apprehended Rostar under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
"The estimated value of the seized drug is Rs 12 lakh," they said.
