11.55% 2001 Gilt Dealt For Rs 10 Cr

Trading on the wholesale debt market of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was low key with the auction of 6-year and 10-year papers being held yesterday.

The total traded volume were Rs 73.29 crore. Debentures were traded for a total of Rs 3.42 lakh.

There was uncertainty regarding the cut off yields that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would give at the auction and this was the reason for subdued interest in the wholesale debt market .

The 11.55 per cent 2001 was traded for a volume of Rs 10 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.49 per cent at a price of Rs 100.90 crore.

The zero coupon 2000 was dealt at Rs 81.75, or a weighted yield of 11.19 per cent.

There was a small trade of 50 lakh for the 6 per cent capex bond maturing in 2002, at a weighted yield of 14.09 per cent.

The 364 day treasury bill maturing on October 9 was traded at a weighted yield of 9.10 per cent.

The commercial papers floated by ACC maturing on December 1 this year was traded for Rs 5 crore at a weighted yield of Rs 11.50 per cent.
