Match Units Oppose Mechanisation

The Small Match Producers Association, Kovilpatti, a major match manufacturing centre in Tamil Nadu, has urged the Centre to withdraw licences given for mechanisation in the match industry. In a resolution passed recently, the association said mechanisation would render lakhs jobless and cause loss to small match makers.
