Indian food industry needs to implement international quality standards to compete and attain a greater share in the world market, NN Mookerjee, secretary, department of consumer affairs said. Inaugurating a five-day training programme on `Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point ISO 9000, Mookerjee said with the signing of the WTO agreement, international trade was subject to quality and safety assurance and management standards such as HACCP and ISO 9000.
