It was plain and simple for Wales too. Win it against England and hope that the USA vs Iran ends up in a draw. But the first part could not materialise as England were simply too good for them. Marcus Rashford scored a brace. 

 

His first goal came from a free kick which was also the first goal for England in the game. He became the first player to score directly from a free kick in this World Cup. With that goal, he also scored the 100th Fifa World Cup goal for the Three Lions.

 

In between two Rashford goals was a goal from Phil Foden. Wales were just no match and became weaker after their skipper Gareth Bale had to be substituted after the first half.
