City based used car portal goes mobile

Ahmedabad based online used car information portal BigGaddi.com has launched android application for mobile phones. The company claimed that it is the first time in India that such an application has been launched for buying and selling cars of used cars.

Jainee P Gordhandas, CEO, BigGaddi.com said that "While other websites focus on a buyer being able to search from a database for buying a car, at BigGaddi.com website and application we offer the facility to post his requirements with his contact details, so that even a seller can get in touch with him." She added this unique feature other websites in the market do not offer. The android application launched on Sunday has received 50 views and 10 downloads in the first hour of launch. The website receives on an average 100 inquiries per day from across India which is accessed by 5000 used car dealers from across India every day. It is estimated that around 4,500-6000 cars sell every month in the used car market in Ahmedabad.
