Ramco Systems, a part of the $600 million Ramco Group, is eyeing the high potential small and medium enterprises (SME) segment for growing the business of its latest software service, which does not need any investment on IT infrastructure by SMEs, a company official said here.

Ramco Systems Regional Manager (SaaS - North & East) Patrick K said its 'OnDemand ERP', software as a service-enabled product, caters to the needs of fast growing businesses.

Saying that this service needs only a internet connection, he said Ramco 'OnDemand ERP' is a simple, unique and powerful.

"Consequently, it does not require upfront capital investment on IT infrastructure or upkeep or support needs," Patrick added.

The 'Ramco OnDemand ERP' is a web-enabled service. Based on subscription model, it helps user companies to pay for what it uses. The software supports the entire range of business processes within an organisation book-keeping, accounts receivable and payables, manufacturing, inventory management and the like.

"In small and medium businesses, where owners control the functioning, all the transactions and business information can be accessed at the click of a button," he said.

Globally, Ramco is serving over 1,00,000 users. It has more than 1,800 employees operating in nine countries.

"In India, we have so far 2,000 users and looking at the way SMEs are showing interest in the product, we will soon add more," he said.
