Linde had entered into a long term gas supply contract with Tata Steel Ltd for catering to the gases requirement at Tata Steel’s steel works at Kalinganagar. Following this, Linde had undertaken construction of two ASUs with a total capacity of 2,400 tonnes per day (TPD) at Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar facility for supply of gases to Tata Steel as well as for additional liquid products for merchant markets.
While Linde commissioned the first ASU on March 10, 2016, it has now operationalised the second air separation unit as well.
