A simplified product line-up and an intensified channel partner engagement were key levers for this achievement.

Customer-centric innovation and an unwavering approach towards meeting every technology need of its largest and smallest customers has always been Dell’s foremost GTM strategy in the commercial business segment. The latest in its list of accolades for this resolute approach was IDC ranking Dell as the No.1 workstations vendor in the commercial segment in India.

The recognition also underlined Dell’s workstations powered by Intel® technology as computing devices of choice in the commercial and business computing space.

A simplified product line-up and intensified channel partner engagement were key factors in driving the market success, as Dell’s commercial business grew in Q4 CY14, helping it achieve market leadership with a share of 51% in value. Another key driver was Dell’s attention to providing precision solutions to its customers in the computer-aided design (CAD), geographic information systems (GIS), digital content creation (DCC), computer animation, software development and financial analysis space. This helped Dell’s India subsidiary to posta promising 25.6 percent YoY growth in the commercial segment and achieve its highest ever annual share gain.

Indrajit Belgundi, Director & General Manager, End User Computing, Dell India said, “It is encouraging to see the customer response we have witnessed over the last few quarters. Our commercial PC devices are designed to cater to the specific requirements of customers across market verticals.
