Dividend stocks today, August 21, 2025: D-Street investors seeking passive income from their investments may want to keep an eye on shares of APL Apollo Tubes, Belrise Industries, Godfrey Phillips India, Procter & Gamble Health, LIC Housing Finance, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Netweb Technologies India, Indigo Paints, and 48 other companies today, as these firms have announced dividend rewards for their shareholders.
According to data from the BSE, the shares of these companies are set to trade ex-dividend on August 22, 2025. Notably, the ex-dividend date is when a stock begins trading without the value of its upcoming dividend. Thus, to be eligible for the dividend, investors must purchase and hold the stock before the ex-dividend date, which means owning it on or before August 21, 2025 in this case. However, it is important to understand that the record date is the day a company finalises the list of shareholders who are entitled to receive the dividend payout.
Among the listed companies, Godfrey Phillips India, a major manufacturer of cigarettes and tobacco products, has announced the highest dividend. The company informed the stock exchanges that its board has declared a final dividend of ₹60 per share for the financial year 2024-25 (FY25), with the record date set as August 22, 2025.
The next highest dividend has been announced by Procter & Gamble Health, which declared a final dividend of ₹45 per share for the FY25. The company has also fixed August 22, 2025 as the record date for this distribution.
