Technically, the Nifty 50 ended on a neutral-to-bullish note, with the day’s candle maintaining a firm base around the 25,800 support zone. The index has attempted to break above 26,000 over the last two sessions but has failed to sustain on a closing basis. A breakout with strong volumes above this level could confirm an upside move toward 26,150–26,250. On the downside, a sustained drop below 25,800 may trigger short-term weakness toward 25,700–25,500.

Indian equities witnessed a volatile expiry session but managed to close on a resilient note, as both the Nifty 50 and Bank Nifty staged a sharp recovery in the final half hour of trade. The Nifty 50 traded within a narrow 25,800–26,000 range for most of the day, reflecting cautious sentiment ahead of key global events such as the U.S. Federal Reserve’s policy outcome. The index opened flat around 25,930, slipped briefly below 25,900, and later regained lost ground toward the close. Buying interest was seen in metal and select banking stocks, while IT, FMCG, and real estate counters came under mild pressure. The late-hour rebound in both indices reaffirmed the market’s underlying strength and traders’ confidence heading into the November series. With volatility expected to ease post-expiry, the short-term trend for both indices remains constructively bullish above their immediate supports, setting the stage for potential fresh highs in the coming sessions.
