After the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) allowed postgraduate Ayurveda students to practice 58 surgical procedures after obtaining formal training, the president of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dr Rajan Sharma called it an “an attempt to corrupt the healthcare system of the country”. Members of Indian Medical Association (IMA) protested on December 11 in parts of the country after the association called for a nation-wide strike today. They demanded roll back of this decision.
