CAA protest: 136 cases registered, 190 protesters arrested, says Assam DGP

Guwahati (Assam), Dec 17 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on current scenario of Assam after protests over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Director General of Police (DGP) of Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, "136 cases have been registered so far and 190 protesters have been arrested." "These were not normal democratic protesters but people who indulged in violence, some conspirators have also been arrested, including some major leaders from various organisations," he added.
