IT services behemoth TCS on Thursday announced three power-packed, India-focused offerings including an indigenous and secure cloud for government and public sector enterprises, aimed at strengthening the country's data sovereignty and accelerating AI capabilities. TCS SovereignSecure Cloud is engineered to keep sensitive data within India's borders, leveraging the company's data centres in availability zones of Mumbai and Hyderabad. The Tata Group company also introduced TCS DigiBOLT, an AI-enabled low-code platform, and its globally-recognised Cyber Defense Suite in India, that the company said would empower enterprises to fast-track their digital innovation and cyber resilience. Hanto Workspaces is expecting over 40 per cent increase in revenue this fiscal year to Rs 30 crore on rising demand for flexible managed office space. Bengaluru-based Hanto Workspaces had posted a revenue of Rs 21 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal year. "We are likely to post a revenue of around Rs 30 crore during this fiscal year. There is a huge demand for managed flexible workspaces in Bengaluru," Hanto Workspaces Founder Aashit Verma told PTI. He said the company has expanded its portfolio and also improved occupancy rates, helping it achieve higher revenues. At present, Verma said the company has 15 co-working facilities in Bengaluru covering 3 lakh square feet area and 6,000 seating capacity. The company charges between Rs 7,000 and Rs 18,000 per desk from corporate clients. Verma said the company is looking to strengthen its portfolio in Bengaluru and also exploring to enter other major cities. The government on Sunday announced it will computerise state cooperative registrars and 1,851 offices of Agriculture and Rural Development Banks (ARDBs) under a scheme with a budget of Rs 225.09 crore. Currently, the government is computerising all Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) in the country. "On the lines of the computerisation scheme of all PACS in the country, a centrally sponsored scheme has been approved for computerisation of 1,851 units of ARDBs of 13 states through a national unified software," the cooperation ministry said in a statement. The government has also decided to computerise the offices of Registrar of Cooperatives of all states and Union Territories, it said. A Central Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) will be established, which will work towards the successful implementation of the scheme. Banking major ANZ has selected IT services company HCL Technologies (HCLTech) for a new engagement that entails digital workplace transformations across 33 countries. HCLTech will provide ANZ with digital workplace services and experience management across end user devices and applications, including laptops, mobile phones and tablets, according to a release. The release, however, did not divulge the size of the contract bagged by HCLTech. With companies adopting new technologies to enhance productivity, a majority of the Millennials and Gen X professionals are curious and eager to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) at work, according to a report. Over 75 per cent of Millennials and 74 per cent of Gen X professionals surveyed feel that AI will take boring tasks off their plate giving them the time to focus on tasks that excite them, said a report by LinkedIn India. Meanwhile, 70 per cent of Gen Z are also eager and curious to adapt to the world of AI, the report added.
