The government has launched a review of the institutional and implementation framework governing industrial corridors, industrial parks and integrated manufacturing ecosystems, seeking to identify bottlenecks and recommend reforms to accelerate project delivery and improve investor experience. As part of the exercise, NITI Aayog will this week hold a stakeholder consultation to gather recommendations on policy, regulatory, institutional and implementation changes needed to strengthen India's industrial competitiveness and support its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, sources said. The Rajasthan government has introduced the "Industrial Park Promotion Policy-2026" to boost investment, infrastructure and generate employment, officials said on Wednesday. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the policy aims to develop world-class industrial parks and position the state as a reliable and future-ready industrial destination. According to an official statement, the policy seeks to strengthen the industrial ecosystem in line with national initiatives such as 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', while promoting balanced regional development. The policy envisages the development of industrial parks through four models, including fully private development, hybrid land-sharing arrangements and public-private partnership (PPP) mode. A minimum area of 50 acres and at least 10 industrial units have been made mandatory for private parks. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said the state cabinet has approved a mega industrial park and a new policy for green energy. Addressing a press conference after chairing a cabinet meeting here, Sarma said the state government has resolved to allot 569 bighas of land (over 188 acres) in Morigaon district for a mega industrial park. The cabinet also approved the Assam Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2025 to promote solar, wind, mini and small hydro, hydrogen and other green energy projects in the state, he added. "We have also decided to notify a new national park in between existing parks Raimona and Manas. It will be Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park, spread across 316.29 sq km in Chirang and Kokrajhar districts," Sarma said. Besides, the cabinet has approved Post Graduate increments to Ayurvedic doctors, who have successfully completed the 3-year PG course, he added.
Ecobox Industrial Parks on Monday said it will be investing Rs 400 crore for a facility near Chennai. It has already acquired a 50-acre land parcel at Mannur, in Tamil Nadu, where a 12-lakh sq ft facility will come up, as per a company statement. The newly formed operating platform of Alta Capital's Logicap Advisors said it plans for a greenfield development on the land. "The project located three kms from SH 50, with a planned development area of 1.2 million square feet (mn sft) and an investment outlay of over Rs 400 crore, will serve the increasing demand for modern industrial and logistics facilities in India," the statement said. At present, Logicap has a total footprint of 13 million sq ft, making it the fifth largest logistics platform in the country, the statement said. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority on Wednesday said it has launched a scheme for allotment of 44 industrial plots and expects Rs 5,000 crore in revenue. The land allotment for industries will also generate 10,000 employment opportunities, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) said in a statement. These plots are located in six sectors and cover areas ranging from 135 square metres to 20,354 square metres, it said. "Greater Noida has emerged as a hub of industrial investment. Keeping in view the demand and need of entrepreneurs, the scheme has been launched. Possession of the plot will be given within the stipulated time. With this, thousands of youngsters will get employment opportunities along with investment in the region," GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar said.
