Italian super luxury automaker Automobili Lamborghini on Monday said it has appointed Nidhi Kaistha as Head of Lamborghini India. In her new role, Kaistha will oversee sales, marketing and after-sales operations in India, the sixth-largest market in the Asia Pacific region, the automaker said in a statement. With over 25 years of experience across hospitality, aviation, and automotive industries, she brings extensive expertise and leadership to her new position, it stated. Most recently, she played a pivotal role in contributing to the growth and success of Porsche India as Regional Sales & Pre-Owned Cars Manager, the company said. Her tenure was marked by outstanding achievements in sales performance and customer engagement, reinforcing her ability to drive business success, it said. Raymond Group Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Singhania has blasted Italian carmaker Lamborghini for "arrogance" having failed to reach out to him regarding an issue with his car. Singhania had earlier tweeted on X about his Lamborghini Revuelto getting stranded at Mumbai's trans-harbour link due to a complete electrical failure. "I'm shocked at the arrogance of India Head @Agarwal_sharad and Asia Head Francesco Scardaoni. No one has reached out even to check what the customer issues are," he tweeted on Sunday. Lamborghini India could not immediately reach out about the matter. In a tweet on October 16, Singhania had noted that the Lamborghini India and Asia leadership failed to reach out to him despite him being an old loyal customer. Sales of ultra luxury car brands like Rolls-Royce are set to be on the growth path only in India with the economy expected to expand further enabling a new set of customers for such models, as per Select Cars CEO Yadur Kapur. Select Cars is the principal dealer of various luxury car brands in the country, including Rolls-Royce, Ferrari and Lamborghini. The company on Friday introduced the Rolls-Royce Spectre, the company's first fully electric luxury sedan, with price starting at Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom). "India is now a USD 3.5 trillion economy and we are growing. This year also we should be growing by about 6.5 per cent. The country is now the third largest car market globally, so the demand for luxury cars is only going to increase going ahead," Kapur told reporters here. Super luxury car maker Automobili Lamborghini on Wednesday said a strong order book and product portfolio in India will help it register consistent growth in the domestic market. Automobili Lamborghini, which launched its first plug-in hybrid super sports car Revuelto with V12 engine at a starting price of Rs 8.89 crore (ex-showroom) on Wednesday, said almost all its cars to be delivered in India 2024 onwards will be hybrid. "Lamborghini order bank, or the product portfolio in India, is strong... that will allow us to have a constant growth in the market," Automobili Lamborghini Region Director for Asia Pacific, Francesco Scardaoni told PTI in an interaction.
