L&T to complete Hyderabad metro stake divestment by FY26 end

Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro on Friday said that disinvestment of its stake in Hyderabad metro project will be completed by the end of current financial year. Construction of largest Namo Bharat station likely to finish by April

The largest Namo Bharat station in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, Sarai Kale Khan, is likely to be completed by the end of April. According to an official statement, with key construction and electrification works nearing completion, trial runs on the stretch between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan are expected to begin by the end of this month. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) stated that track work between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan stations has been completed. Sarai Kale Khan will serve as a major transport hub, connecting the Namo Bharat corridor with Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, Delhi Metro's Pink Line, the Veer Haqeeqat Rai Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and Ring Road, it stated. Budget 2025: NCRTC gets Rs 2,900 cr for regional rapid rail project

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), India's first regional rapid rail project, has received an allocation of more than Rs 2,900 crore in the Union Budget 2025-26 announced on Saturday. The NCRTC has started its operation in Delhi from January 5 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 13-km section of the corridor from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to New Ashok Nagar in the national capital. The NCRTC received a total outlay of 2,918 crore in the current budget, while it was Rs 3,855 crore in last budget's revised estimates. President Droupadi Murmu on Friday said India has the world's third-largest metro network spanning over 1,000 km and emphasised that efforts to streamline urban transportation are underway. Metro services on the Yellow Line will be temporarily regulated from the night of November 14 to November 19 due to civil work on a 490-metre section of the Janakpuri West to R K Ashram. Mumbai's first underground Metro rail corridor, known as Metro Line 3, will start operating from July 24, Bharatiya Janata Party's general secretary Vinod Tawde said on Wednesday. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Rs 6,225 crore Bhubaneswar Metro Rail project. State-owned NBCC bags Rs 89 cr order from DMRC to construct staff quarters

State-owned NBCC on Friday said it has bagged a contract worth Rs 89 crore from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) to construct staff quarter residential building for the Bhubaneswar metro rail project. NBCC has been engaged for the construction of a staff quarter residential building by DMRC as Project Management Consultant (PMC), the company said in a statement. The total cost of the work is Rs 88.90 crore. Earlier this year, an MoU was signed between DMRC and NBCC to work together in the field of infrastructure development in India and abroad. NBCC (India) Ltd is a Navratna Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The company has been listed with National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE since 2012. The company is mainly into PMC and real estate business.
