Global IT services and solutions company Accenture today elevated Indian executive to global roles.
Manish Sharma who is a senior Managing Director for Global Delivery & Solution Development for Accenture Operations, which is the BPO business, has now been elevated as the Group Operating Officer for Accenture Operations which is an around $7 billion division within Accenture.

The changes were announced as Accenture appointed Debra (Debbie) A Polishook as group chief executive - Accenture Operations.
Polishook succeeds Michael (Mike) J Salvino, who will retire from the company and join Carrick Capital Partners, an investment firm focused on technology-enabled businesses.
Sharma is succeeding Polishook and these changes are effective September 1, 2016.
Polishook, 55, is currently group operating officer for Accenture Operations, which is one of Accenture's five businesses and has more than $7 billion in annual net revenues and 100,000 people globally. In her new role as group chief executive - Accenture Operations, Polishook will join the company's Global Management Committee.

Sharma, 48, based in Bangalore, India, will be the second in command responsible for that business group after the Group CEO. Accenture as five business group's globally.
Among other senior executives who hold top position at global level is Bhaskar Ghosh who has also risen up in career in the company and is heading the Technology Services business globally as the Group Chief Executive.
Sharma will continue as a member of Accenture's Global Leadership Council.
