Etihad backed-Air Seychelles today launched thrice weekly direct flight between Seychelles and Mumbai.
The airline said it will connect India with Tanzania, South Africa and Madagascar with its one stop flights via Seychelles and also plans a code share with Jet Airways to grow traffic.
Its chief executive officer Manoj Papa said the airline is focussing on all business segments - leisure travel, trade and labour traffic to Indian Ocean region.
"We plan to grow our regional and long haul network with code shares and partnerships enabling Seychelles to become an aviation hub in Indian Ocean,'' Papa added. The airline has a single Airbus A320 and two Airbus A330s and has no immediate plans to expand fleet.
