Defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has recorded 2.8 per cent provisional increase in its turnover at Rs 6,180 crore for 2013-14.
The company had recorded a turnover of Rs 6,012 crore during 2012-13. It achieved exports worth $41.70 million in 2013-14, registering a growth of 27.21 per cent over the previous year’s exports of $32.78 million, the company said in a statement.
With a order book of around Rs 23,200 crore, the company has started the new fiscal. Some of the significant orders executed during the year 2013-14 include weapon system for the Indian Air Force and Indian Army, central acquisition radar, low level lightweight radar, ship-borne electronic warfare system, low intensity conflict electronic warfare system, missile warning system, passive night vision devices and electronic voting machine.
