Foxconn launches fanless Nano PC

The choice of memory, hard drive is still left to the user with free slots

Foxconn, a manufacturer of computer components and systems, today announced the launch of the new fanless Nano PC AT-5250.

Foxconn has reworked on the design of the entire NanoPC model, to make the better usage of the new cooling system. AT-5250 makes no noise while running due to its advances design.

The Nano PC has been built without a fan and the choice of memory and hard drive is still left to the user with free slots, the company said in a statement.

The latest AT-5250 is powered with Intel GMA 3650 HD boosts graphics and CPU processing capabilities while maintaining energy efficiency to create a palm-sized home theater PC capable of high-definition video playback and lightning-fast system responsiveness.

AT-5250 consumes around 15W in idle conditions and 24W under load, which is equivalent of the rate of power consumed which falls somewhere between that of an Ultrabook and a regular laptop, and low enough to be passively cooled.

With 190 X 135 X 38mm form factor, the AT-5250 is priced which is expected to be similar to that of a mini-ATX budget barebones but with a pair of USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit LAN, a multilingual card reader and built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi.

Started in 1974, Foxconn's customer base includes many famous brands in computing, communications and consumer electronics, for example; Apple, Cisco, Dell, HP, Nokia and Sony.
