JSPL rolls out Kishori Express-2

Inspired by the outstanding success of Kishori Express-1, Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), in joint collaboration with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM)and Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) on Tuesday, rolled out ‘Kishori Express-2’. This was rolled out to mark the 82nd birth anniversary of its founder Om Prakash Jindal, fondly called Babuji. Flagging off ‘Kishori Express-2’, chief guest Sushant Kumar Barik, additional district magistrate- Angul, said, “To build a strong nation, we need to have healthy mothers. To improve the health of adolescent girls, this joint effort by JSPL, district administration, NRHM and ICDS is really praiseworthy.” Speaking on the occasion, JSPL’s executive director Dinesh Kumar Saraogi said, “The health of a new born child depends upon the haemoglobin level of its mother, so through Kishori Express, JSPL is trying to improve this level of would-be mothers by providing them with IFA (iron folic acid) tablets and iron-rich seed kits.
