Khurda Road division bags efficiency shield

The Khurda Road railway division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) has won the overall efficiency shield for outstanding performance in 2011-12. The division has achieved the best ever originating loading of 63.79 million tonnes during 2011-12 as against the target of 63 million tonnes, which is 14.3 per cent higher than 2010-11. Similarly, the division has also achieved best ever freight earnings of Rs 3,603.66 crore during 2011-12 compared to the target of Rs 3,160.32 crore. Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Khurda Road division received the shield from Indra Ghosh, General Manager of ECoR during the 57th Railway Week Celebrations.
