Automaker VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) today reported a fall of 16.82% in total sales of Eicher branded products at 3,690 units in February 2013.
The company, which is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, had sold 4,436 units in the same month in 2012.
Domestic sales stood at 3,538 units in February 2013 as against 4,186 units in the year-ago period, down 15.48%, VECV said in a statement.
Exports went down by 39.20% during the month to 152 units from 250 units in February, 2012.
VECV's sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market dipped by 21.14% to 2,361 units during the month from 2,994 units in the year-ago period.
Heavy commercial vehicle sales skipped by 5.89% to 559 units from 594 units in February 2012, it said.
