33 Bonda students join KISS
Bonda is regarded as one of the oldest, most primitive and educationally backward tribes

Thirty three students belonging to Bonda primitive tribal group from Bonda hills in Malkangiri district took admission at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), a constituent of the city-based KIIT University, for higher education. Bonda is regarded as one of the oldest, most primitive and educationally backward tribes.
The students belong to Khairiput, Bilasanipada, Padeiguda and Mudulipada of Bondaghati area. In the first phase, out of 33 students, who have all passed 10th board exams, 16 boys and five girls reached KISS campus on August 12, 2014. The admitted students would study +2 courses in arts, science or commerce.
