Badal nod for mega food park

Punjab Chief Minister, Prakash Singh Badal gave an in-principle approval to the proposal of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation on Wednesday to establish a mega food park at Ladowal in Ludhiana district over an area of 100 acres, thereby promoting food processing industry in the state.

The chief minister has directed the managing director (MD) of Punjab Agro to give the detailed project report regarding the proposed food park to the Ministry of Food Processing at the earliest.

The total cost of this project is estimated to be at Rs 150 crore. Badal also directed the concerned authorities to complete the entire plan and get requisite approvals within three months.
 

He also asked to finalise a policy to allot land sites in this food park to companies which would bring investments.
