Important places, buildings and installations in Hyderabad will get a higher security cover, including installation of CCTV systems with a grant Rs 48-crore from the Centre.
This is a part of Megacity Policing Project designed for the city for which a special enactment, namely AP Public (Measures) Enforcement Act, was recently made by the Assembly. The execution of the project will begin after the rules under the new Act are framed by the government, according to the chief minister's office.
