The Andhra Pradesh Bhavan (AP Bhavan) at New Delhi has made elaborate arrangements to provide shelter, food and assistance to Telugu people rescued from Nepal.

Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed minister of state YS Chowdary and AP special representative in Delhi K Ramamohan Rao to ensure that they are put on flights immediately, based on their destination.

After the state set up a control room at AP Bhavan in view of the Nepal earthquake, the control room has assisted 33 references last evening.

Around 380 Telugu people were reported to be stranded in Nepal following the earthquake. About 47 Telugu people (28 from Hyderabad and 19 from Vijayawada) had been brought to New Delhi last night in 3 IAF flights, which rescued 400 Indians from Nepal.

Others rescued from Nepal will be put on flights to their respective destinations today, the state government said in a press release on Sunday.
