Until now, passengers in Hyderabad could get information about the expected arrival/departure timing of trains in the city only at the respective halting stations.
Now, one can access real-time information on the daily 121 MMTS services, passenger and express train timings from Android-powered smartphone in English, Telugu and Hindi.
For the first time in the rail service, the South Central Railway (SCR), which operates the MMTS service, launched - HYLITES (Hyderabad live train enquiry system) here today. The application, which can be downloaded free from Google play store, works on all Android phones above 2.2 version and uses GPS/GPRS technology.
While the MMTS service is available on three routes -- Lingampally, Falaknuma and Nampally, for passenger and express trains it's Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Nampally.
