Despite economic uncertainties, 4 in every 10 potential homebuyers are now planning to purchase premium and luxury properties in the country’s top seven markets. A latest report, prepared jointly by property consultant Anarock and CII, shows how radically the pandemic has altered buying preference. For the first time, demand for affordable houses — traditionally an attractive option for most — is now near equal to that of premium homes. Affluent buyers are considering buying their second home, driving the demand for such purchases to 41 per cent.
