Mumbai Terror: Flight operations from city largely unaffected

Most of the flight operations from terror-struck Mumbai today remained largely unaffected, except for cancellation of a couple of services by three international airlines.
"Jet Airways' domestic and international flights, in and out of Mumbai, largely remained unaffected and operated in accordance with their normal schedule," an airlines spokesperson said.
National carrier Air India, too, operated its flights out of Mumbai as per schedule.
"All Air India flights, both domestic and international, have operated normally as per schedule. Normal schedule of our flights will be maintained," an Air India spokesperson said.
Germany's flagship carrier Lufthansa, which was on its way to Mumbai at the time of the attacks last night was diverted to New Delhi.

In the wake of heightened security situation, Jet airlines have asked passengers to report well before the flights' departure.
"Passengers are advised to carry a valid identification document and report to the airlines counter well in advance from the scheduled departure," Jet spokesperson said.
Jet has also announced waiver of cancellation and reissue charges on tickets of the flights operating in and out of Mumbai for today and tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Kingfisher had combined one flight each on Delhi-Mumbai, Bangalore-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Mumbai and Nashik-Mumbai sectors with other flights on the same routes.
Three international airlines -- Lufthansa, Northwest and Air France -- have cancelled their flights.
