The National Pension System (NPS) increased its subscriber base in April even as a deadly second wave of Covid infections swamps the country.
NPS subscribers grew 23.33 per cent to about 42.7 million by the end of April, from 34.6 million a year ago, and 42.4 million in March this year, according to the data from the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).
Subscribers under the Atal Pension Yojana increased 34.51 per cent to 24.5 million at the end of October, from 18.2 million a year ago.
