DMK's Parliamentary party leader and its Thanjavur candidate T R Baalu today informed Election Commission of India that some advertisements of him canvassing for votes had been inserted in a section of the media without his consent.
"It was brought to my notice that some advertisements were inserted in a leading newspaper without my consent and authority, canvassing for my candidature," he said.
In a communication to media houses, which was also marked to ECI and Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, Baalu requested the media not to 'entertain' any advertisements without his written authorisation.
