Chiefminister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik released afresh list of candidates for four Lok Sabha and 19 assemblyconstituencies in the state.
Predictably, the BJD chieftain in the party's fifth list for polls, has renominated most of the sitting MLAs with the notable exception of former minister Prafulla Ghadai. Patnaik, instead, chose to field the veteran leader's son Priti Ranjan Ghadai from Sukinda constituency under Jajpur district.
Thel atest announcement from Patnaik has also scotched all speculation over the choice of candidate for the high profile Bhubaneswar LokSabha seat with Prasanna Patsani, four time MP from the seat, bagging the party ticket.
Forthree other Lok Sabha seats, the BJD has fielded Rita Tarai fromJajpur, Kulamani Samal (Jagatsinghpur) and Sakuntala Laguri(Keonjhar).
Odia cinestar Anubhav Mohanty who recently joined the BJD has been assured entry to the Rajya Sabha.

Apartfrom Ghadai, the BJD has denied tickets to other sitting legislators- Prasanta Nanda, Arabinda Dhali, Nabin Nanda, Rabinarayan Pani,Rabindra Bhoi, Prasuram Pangrahi and Rabindra Mallik.
BJDvice president and Paradeep strongman Damodar Mohanty has beenrenominated from the constituency and so also his bete noire BishnuDas from Jagatsinghpur.
