BS Reporter
The BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) on Thursday postponed discussions on selecting candidates for Lok Sabha seats in crucial and contentious places such as Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

The committee announced its third list of 75 candidates, which included Sushma Swaraj from Vidisha, S S Ahluwalia from Darjeeling, Poonam Mahajan from Mumbai North Central and Jayant Sinha from Hazaribagh. Poonam is the daughter of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan. Jayant is the son of former finance minister Yashwant Sinha.

The party panel also agreed to the wishes of former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa, by allocating seats to his confidantes Shobha Karandlaje from Udupi and G S Basavaraj from Tumkur. Yedyurappa had been given the Shimoga seat.
