Garhwal records 38.54% voting till 1 PM

Around 38.54% electorate exercised their franchise till 1 PM in Garhwal Parliamentary constituency of Uttarakhand, an Election Commission official said.

"38.54% voters cast their votes till 1 PM in Garhwal Parliamentary constituency," Abhishek Mishra, Election officer, Pauri said here.

"Election process so far in this constituency is peaceful. and no untoward incident was reported till 1 PM," he said.

One EVM machine malfunctioned at the Rikhnikhal (in Lansdown Assembly region) booth of the Garhwal Parliamentary constituency, which was immediately replaced and voting resumed, he said.
