Seventy-five % of the people elected in the general election have at least a graduation degree, whereas 10 % are matriculates, according to a report.

"The %age of elected candidate with at least a graduation degree is slightly lesser than the 15th Lok Sabha when the figure was 79 %," said the report by PRS Legislative Research.

The report said those new Lok Sabha members who are not matriculates are 13 %, which is 10 % higher than in 2009.

"The number of members with a doctoral degree has also increased to six % from three % in the 15th Lok Sabha," the report said.
