This will be first round of campaign using the 3D projection technology, which was first used by Modi during the 2012 Assembly polls in Gujarat.
BJP plans to organise 10-12 more such rounds using the technology and reach out to over 1,000 locations.
"This technology will project Modi's life-size image at all locations. It will enable people in far-off places to experience a real connect with the hugely popular leader," said a statement on Modi's website.
The campaign is part of BJP election strategy in association with an organisation called Citizens of Accountable Governance (CAG). BJP plans to organise 10-12 rounds of these 'Bharat Vijay 3D rallies' across the country. These rallies will be in held addition to the 185 Bharat Vijay rallies that Modi plans to address during the election campaign.
At all locations special equipment will be set up for projection of 3D image of Modi. Before the start of Modi's speech, street plays and poetry recitation would done to engage with the crowds.
During the 2012 assembly elections, Modi had used this technology as part of his campaign. The initiative had featured in the Guinness Book of World Records as an event with the most number of simultaneous broadcasts (53) across Gujarat.
The innovative campaign is also aimed at saving Modi's flying time to and fro from every location.
