The country’s foreign exchange reserves fell by $643.3 million for the week ended August 8 to $319.35 billion, shows Reserve Bank of India data released on Friday. Foreign currency assets fell by $646.7 million to $292.05 billion.
Gold reserves remained unchanged during the week at $21.17 billion. For the week under review, Special Drawing Rights rose by $2.5 million to $4.42 billion, while India’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was up $0.9 million to $1.70 billion.
