Aluminium rises 0.5% on overseas cues

Prices rose as participants enlarged their positions

Aluminium futures for March inched up by 55 paise, or 0.53%, to Rs 104.60 per kg in 463 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract traded marginally higher by 55 paise, or 0.52%, to Rs 106.30 per kg in 38 lots.

Prices rose as participants enlarged their positions.

Strong spot markets demand also influenced metal prices.

Firming global trend helped aluminium futures to trade higher.

On the London Metal Exchange (LME), aluminium climbed 0.1% to $1,939 tonne.
