Most of the Indian ADRs ended on a positive note despite thin volumes and US markets ending on subdued note.
IT companies logged gains, Wipro climbed 2.1%, Genpact added 1.7%, TCS zoomed 4.2%, and Infosys ended flat at
$ 73.40, up 0.01%.
India's Telephone service provider MTNL ADR was up 1.8%. From the auto pack Tata Motors edged up 0.2%.
From the healthcare space, Dr Reddy's was up 0.9%. From the metal pack, Sterlite Industries moved up 3%.
Investors cashed out of banking shares, HDFC was off 0.1% to $176.2 and ICICI Bank declined 1.3%.
