Markets end lower, shrug off better-than-expected Jan WPI

Sensex provisionally closed at 19,468 down 140 points

Benchmark indices ended lower on Thursday, shrugging off better-than-expected Jan WPI, amid profit booking in auto, financials and index heavyweight Reliance Inds.

The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex provisionally closed at 19,468 down 140 points. The National Stock Exchange’s 50-share S&P CNX Nifty provisionally closed at 5,889 down 44 points.
