Shares of KEC International were up 3% at Rs 148 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company announced that it has won new orders worth Rs 668 crore in its Transmission & Distribution, Cables and Renewables (solar) businesses.
In the transmission and distribution business the orders worth Rs 397 crore are for supply and construction of 400kV transmission line in Southern India. The company also said that SAE Towers secured supply orders in Mexico, Brazil and the US, the company said in a release.
In the cable business, the company said it has received orders worth Rs 160 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables.

The release also said that the company has won orders worth Rs 111 crore for design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Solar PV power plant.
The stock opened at Rs 144 and touched a high of Rs 149.50. At 1:05PM, over 600,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
