Lead up 0.2% on strong spot demand

Prices rose as speculators created fresh positions

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead futures for April traded 25 paise, or 0.21% higher at Rs 118.25 per kg in 147 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract rose by 20 paise, or 0.17%, to trade at Rs 117.50 per kg in 2,508 lots.

Prices rose as speculators created fresh positions.

Strong domestic demand from battery-makers influenced lead futures trade here.

But, metal's weakness at the London Metal Exchange (LME) limited the upside.
