Arrivals of chilli crop stood ~0.6-0.7lakh bags while demand was reported steady among at auctions held at Guntur market.
Arrivals of jeera crop declined about 30,000 bags while trades too were down ~28,000 tons at auctions held at Unjha market. Spot rates were down & quoted around '130-'132 per kg, as per local traders.
Spot rates of pepper garbled were up at '363 per kg and that of un-garbled was up at '348 per kg. Arrivals were increased to 21 tons while trades too were up at 22 tons at auctions held at Kochi market, as per IPSTA.

Average price of small cardamom increased to '668.9 per kg while maximum price offered was up at '1,030 per kg, as per spice board. Total inflow of small cardamom crop increased to 75.1tons from which ~73.8 tons were sold at auction.
Arrivals of Soya bean crop declined to 0.6-0.65lakh bags across MP market & were down below 2,000 bags at mandis of Indore while supply at mandis of Maharashtra declined to about 30,000 bags & at mandis of Rajasthan ~20,000 bags, as per trade reports.
Spot rates of soya bean seen Indore (ex-mandi) closed up at '35 per kg while that of Mustard seed Rajasthan closed down at '33 per kg., as per Sea of India.
Inflow of mustard seed crop declined to 140,186 quintals, while average of closing spot rates were down at '3,082.2 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan. Total arrivals of mustard seed crop increased to more then 5.5lakh bags across major trading center while spot rates were up & quoted at '34-'36 per kg based on location, as per reports.
Spot rates of mentha oil were steady across major trading centers while futures declined on increased selling at higher levels. Arrivals of mentha oil increased to about 280-300 drums with no major demand seen, as per trade reports.
The production of oil-seeds has increased from 112.7lakhs tons in 1986-87 to 324.8lakh tons in 2010-11 while the productivity has increased from 605 kg/ha to 1193 kg/ha during the same period. Consequently, the domestic production of
edible oils also increased from 33.19lakhs tons in 1986-87 to 97.82lakhs tons in 2010-11 - mainly due to the interventions under Technology Mission on Oilseeds (TMOP), as per Ministry of Agriculture.
