Turmeric down more than 2% on profit-booking

Prices were affected due to profit-booking

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Turmeric futures for April declined by Rs 150, or 2.18%, to Rs 6,722 per quintal in 20,485 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract traded lower by Rs 104, or 1.51%, to Rs 6,784 per quintal in 18,405 lots.

Prices were affected due to profit-booking.

However, speculation of lower output estimates and firm spot demand, limited the fall.
