Markets rebound; JP Associates, Satyam lead

The NSE Nifty is up 17 points at 4,154.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has surged 2.5% to Rs 146. Hindalco and Satyam have gained 2% each at Rs 142 and Rs 448, respectively.

Tata Steel, BHEL and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 739, Rs 1,404 and Rs 531, respectively.

Reliance and Wipro have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 2,213 and Rs 449, respectively.

TCS and Infosys are up 1.3% each at Rs 877 and Rs 449, respectively.

Grasim has dropped 3.3% to Rs 1,881. Tata Motors and HDFC have shed nearly 3% each at Rs 436 and Rs 1,994, respectively.

 

Mahindra & Mahindra and ICICI Bank have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 502 and Rs 643, respectively.

ACC has declined 1.4% to Rs 571. Ambuja Cements and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 80 and Rs 1,006, respectively.
