Mentha oil remain higher by 1.5% on spot demand

Mentha oil for delivery in July rose by Rs 14.80.

Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 14.80 to Rs 973 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in creating positions on the back of increased demand from consuming industries.
     
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July rose by Rs 14.80, or 1.54%, to Rs 973 per kg, with a trading volume of 206 lots.
    
The prices for delivery in June also higher by Rs 12.90, or 1.34%, to Rs 974 per kg, with a business turnover of 764 lots.
    
Marketmen said a firming trend at the spot markets on rising local and export demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
