Sebi bars 7 firms from securities markets

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Wednesday restrained seven companies and their directors from accessing the securities market till all pending investor grievances against them are resolved. The companies that have been barred include Alcar Laminators, Bhuvan Tripura Industries, Chicago Software Industries, Hindustan Industrial Chemicals, Indo American Optics, Ishwar Medical Services and Neon Resins & Industries. The orders, passed by Sebi whole-time member K M Abraham, will come into force with immediate effect.
