Sensex down 297pts; ICICI Bank slumps 9%

The Sensex is now down 297 points at 13,234.

ICICI Bank has slumped nearly 9% to Rs 573. Satyam has plunged 7.5% to Rs 340.

Jaiprakash Associates has shed 6.8% at Rs 137, and DLF has tumbled 6% to Rs 407.

Wipro and Ranbaxy have shed nearly 4% each at Rs 387 and Rs 404, respectively.

Tata Steel and Reliance Infrastructure have dropped 3.3% each to Rs 483 and Rs 812, respectively.

Maruti, TCS and Reliance Communications have slipped around 3% each to Rs 702, Rs 739 and Rs 358, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, Infosys and Tata Power are down around 2.5% each at Rs 523, Rs 2,479, Rs 1,537 and Rs 969, respectively.

 

SBI has rallied over 2% to Rs 1,520.

Out of 2,583 stocks traded so far, 2,050 have declined, 474 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
